All the menu items in the hierarchical menu can be used to create new 窶彳vents窶. Each different item corresponds to the application the event is linked to.
窶廢vents窶 are used for exchanging data between applications, and for initiating actions such as recalculating a spreadsheet, evaluating a macro, executing a script etc. DynRisk can communicate with applications running on the local computer or on other Macintoshes in a network by sending events. By including events in a DynRisk model, you can extend the modeling capabilities dramatically.

窶｢ 窶廴S Excel 4邃｢窶 sends events to Microsoft Excel 4 spreadsheets.
窶｢ 窶廴S Excel 5邃｢窶 sends events to Microsoft Excel 5 spreadsheets.
窶｢ 窶廴S Project邃｢窶 sends events to Microsoft Project models.
窶｢ 窶廩yperCard邃｢窶 sends events to HyperCard stacks.
窶｢ 窶廣ppleScript邃｢窶 sends events to AppleScript applets.
Note that by linking to AppleScript applets, you can actually link to any other scriptable application.
Thus, if you need to link to some application not mentioned above, find out if it is scriptable. If so, it is usually relatively easy to write a small AppleScript applet which can be used to pass data between DynRisk and the other application.
